Re: Tornado Debris Clean-up, Reconstruction & Disaster Relief

If you have new clients or AHBSIF members interested in working with FEMA on debris

removal, reconstruction and other disaster relief in the aftermath of the recent tornadoes, they

are encouraged to visit the contractor page on FEMA’s website.

From here they will be directed to register through the Central Contractor Registration website.

Note that they MUST have a D&B Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number in order

to register with the Central Contractor site.

All workers out in the field need to keep in mind that OSHA will be out in full force looking for

jobsite safety violations. Remember that AHBSIF has Loss Control Representatives available

to provide safety training and guidance to help our contractors keep their site safe and avoid

OSHA violations. For more information contact your underwriter.

AHBSIF has determined that FEMA will require all owners, officers, partners, and LLC

members to be included in coverage. We have approval from the Department of Industrial

Relations to accept inclusions for coverage immediately in lieu of their normal waiting period.

Let your Underwriter know if you need any exclusions voided and apply coverage for your

clients. Refer to our website for forms under on-line forms.

The AHBSIF is here to serve as your resource for issues regarding the rebuilding process.
